James Crow, 40, of Alfred has been charged with murdering his wife Kristan Crow, 39, at their home on Waterboro Road.

From Maine State Police:

On Monday, April 10, 2023, just before 3:00 pm, the York County Sheriff’s Office received a disturbance complaint from a home at 81 Waterboro Road in Alfred. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene and located a deceased woman inside the residence. This deceased individual was believed to be 39-year-old Kristan Crow who lived at that residence with her husband 40-year-old James Crow. Sheriff’s Deputies and State Troopers attempted to make contact with James who was not home at the time of the Deputies arrival. James Crow was located by Officers in the parking lot of Harry’s gas station on Route 111 in Lyman. James surrendered without incident. Detectives worked throughout the night processing the home at 81 Waterboro Road in Alfred. The body of the deceased was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Augusta where an autopsy was performed on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. The OCME investigation has confirmed the identity of the deceased as 39-year-old Kristan Crow and has ruled her death a homicide. James Crow was charged with Murder and will make his initial appearance in York County Superior Court Wednesday at 1:30 pm via Zoom.
