Maine State Police say about 25 demonstrators were in attendance Saturday, Aug. 12, at a Neo Nazi demonstration near the Capitol in Augusta.

On Saturday, August 12, 2023 at approximately 3:24 pm, Capitol Police and Augusta Police were made aware of a Neo Nazi demonstration happening in the area of Capitol Street and State Street in Augusta. Approximately 25 demonstrators were in attendance. The demonstration was peaceful and there was no damage to any state or city property.
