It’s been a busy few weeks for a Bath woman and stolen vehicles.
The Wiscasset Police Department says Jazmine Hummel, 24, was recently arrested for allegedly stealing a vehicle and went to jail. She was arrested for allegedly stealing another vehicle and went to jail again. She is now accused of burglary of another motor vehicle.

On 09/26/2020 at approx. 1230pm Wiscasset Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence on Lowelltown Rd. in Wiscasset. Wiscasset Police investigated this report and entered the vehicle into NCIC (National Crime Information Center) as stolen.
On 09/30/2020 the vehicle was stopped by the Augusta Police Department and the operator, Kyle Crooker, 37yoa from Chelsea, ME was arrested on unrelated charges from the Wiscasset incident. Wiscasset PD continued the investigation into the Wiscasset incident and charged Kyle Crooker and Jazmine Hummel, 24yoa from Bath, ME were both charged with Theft by Unauthorized Use of Property and are scheduled to appear in Wiscasset Unified Court on 11/12/2020.
On 10/10/2020 Wiscasset Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from Irving at approx. 2pm. The investigation initially led us to Two Bridges Regional Jail where we discovered Hummel had been released on charges stemming from Bath, for Theft by Unauthorized Use of Property.
Wiscasset PD continued the investigation which led to Gardiner where the stolen vehicle was recovered and Hummel was taken into custody again for Theft By Unauthorized Use of Property and Violating Conditions of Release. Hummel was transported her back to TBRJ and is scheduled to appear in Wiscasset Unified Court on 11/12/2020.On 10/13/2020 Wiscasset PD executed a Search Warrant on the residence in Gardiner in search of missing items from the stolen vehicle.
On 10/13/2020 Hummel was released from TBRJ on PR Bail. Shortly after being released, Wiscasset PD received calls of a female going through vehicles at the Wiscasset NAPA Store and the Clipper Mart. Wiscasset PD located Jazmine Hummel inside the Little Mart and took her into custody without incident. Hummel was charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Violating Conditions of Release and transported back to TBRJ. She is scheduled to appear in Wiscasset Unified Court on 11/12/2020.
