Clinton Police say the body located south of the Pleasant Street Bridge on the Sebasticook River was Paul Trask, 51, of Clinton.

On the evening of May 21, 2023, police received a report that 51 year old Clinton resident Paul Trask was missing. He was last seen near the river at the Old Mill Park. The Maine Warden Service responded along with Kennebec County Sheriff’s Department deputies and conducted a search.
On May 22, 2023 at approximately 0730 hrs, Clinton Police along with the Warden Service located a body approximately 100 yards south of the Pleasant Street Bridge.
Officer Roger Smith and Chief Rusty Bell assisted the Warden Service as well as Clinton Fire and Rescue with the recovery of the body which was identified as Trask.
Trask was brought to the Medical Examiners office and family was notified.
No suspicious activity or circumstances are suspected. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
