Margaret Reid, 38, of California, died earlier this week after being stuck by a car on Route 196 in Topsham. She was walking with her six-year-old son on Tuesday, Dec. 7. The boy was not injured.
Reid was hit by a car driven by a Brunswick man who fell asleep while driving.
