A two vehicle crash is under investigation on I-95 in Newburgh when a car rear-ended a cement truck that became trapped under the truck.

On Monday, June 199 2023, at approximately 10:40 am, Troopers responded to a two vehicle crash at mile marker 174 on I-95 in Newburgh. The Initial investigation shows a red Chevy Spark was traveling on northbound when the car rear-ended a cement truck becoming partially trapped under the truck. This was not a construction zone. 72-year-old Diane Mailhot of Dexter was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other occupants in her vehicle. The driver of the cement truck was not injured. Both Newburgh and Carmel Fire Departments assisted on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
