Two dozen former Augusta employees of Chipotle Mexican Grill in Augusta will receive back pay. The agreement is part of their settlement reached since the store closed last July when worker’s talked of joining a union.
Chipotle has agreed to to pay a total of $240,000, with back pay ranging from $5,800 to $21,000.
BREAKING: Chipotle must pay $240,000 to 24 workers in Augusta, Maine after the company illegally closed down the store they tried to unionize.
Under a settlement, the company must also post notices at 40 stores that they won't break the law and close stores if workers organize.
