The NFL says Detroit Lions’ 2022 first-round pick Jameson Williams, and Detroit’s Stanley Berryhill, are suspended six games next season because of betting on college football games, inside the Lions facility.
Suspended indefinitely are: Detroit’s C.J. Moore and Quintez Cephus, and Washington’s Shaka Toney. They are accused of betting on NFL games.
Moore and Cephus were immediately released by Detroit.

For the double standard crowd:
The 2 players that were released, were suspended indefinitely for betting on NFL games.
The 2 that were not cut, were suspended 6 games for placing bets they're allowed to make, but doing so while at the NFL facility, which is not allowed. https://t.co/DItez9QERp— Lindsay Rhodes (@lindsay_rhodes) April 21, 2023
Just to be clear: NFL players are allowed to place bets on non-NFL games (NBA, UFC, college, etc).
They are prohibited to do it while at an NFL facility, including the locker room, a team flight, team hotel, etc. https://t.co/3ReW4b0cIZ
