On Friday, June 16, the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Tabor Road in Woodland after the homeowner had discovered a homemade explosive device in his driveway.

The Maine State Police Bomb Unit responded and rendered the device safe. Investigators with the Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the home to conduct an investigation. That investigation is ongoing. There were no injuries.
