Sam’s Italian Foods has announced that they are closing their original Main Street, Lewiston location. The sandwich shop has been in business at that spot since 1939. Also closing is the Prospect Ave., Rumford location.
Sam’s 11 other locations are expected to remain open.
Food costs were cited as a reason for the closures.
Maine-based chain Sam’s Italian Foods has reportedly closed 2 of its locations. The stores in Lewiston and Rumford have closed their doors.
