This past weekend The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife announced the winners of the 2023 Maine moose hunting permit lottery.
More than 4,000 names were chosen at the event Mill Park in Augusta, June 11. More than 72,000 applied.

The three moose hunting seasons in Maine this year are September 25-30, October 9-14, and October 23-28.
