Maine’s Jessica Meir could make history yet again, as one of the first women to land on the moon.
The Caribou native has been named to the initial team of NASA astronauts to pave the way for human missions to the moon under the Artemis program.
The Artemis program, NASA will land the first woman and next man on the Moon by 2024, using innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before.
