Maine’s Own McDreamy Named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive

Maine-native Patrick Dempsey, 57, has been named as People Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive.’ The star of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and numerous other TV shows and movies, was born in Lewiston and grew up in central Maine.

Dempsey annualy returns to the area as the founder of the Dempsey Center in Lewiston, which helps families impacted by cancer and hosts the Dempsey Challenge every year.

I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life. It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive.
