40-year-old Damon Bickford of Clinton, who was reported missing April 21, was found dead, in the woods after an extensive search.

Bickford’s body was discovered yesterday afternoon, April 22, and no foul play is suspected in the death.

It is with heavy hearts that the Clinton Police Department announces the unfortunate discovery of Damon Bickford, who was found deceased late this afternoon in the woods with the assistance of the Maine Warden Service. After an extensive search effort involving Clinton Police and Maine Warden Service Sergeant Fowlie and their K9 team, Damon Bickford was located. The Maine Warden Service’s resources, including their K9 team and plane, were instrumental in the search operation. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Maine Warden Service for their invaluable assistance during this search. With the assistance of the Fairfield Police, next of kin has been notified. At this time, no foul play is suspected in Damon Bickford’s death. The Clinton Police Department sends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Damon Bickford during this difficult time.
