Last Friday, Aug. 19, Rumford Police was joined by nearly a dozen state and federal law enforcement officers to arrest 8 people on a variety of charges.

Rumford Police say the focus was on specific suspects throughout town involved in the illegal use and trafficking of dangerous drugs. As a result, 8 adults from Rumford, Mexico and Wilton were issued summonses or arrested and charged with a variety of drug crimes involving methamphetamine, fentanyl, alpha-methyl acetyl fentanyl, and prescription drugs.
