The Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee heard testimony concerning LD 1914, a bill that could bring legalization and regulation of hallucinogenic mushrooms in Maine.
“An Act to Enact the Maine Psilocybin Health Access Act” according to proponents say that psilocybin, an ingredient found in some mushrooms, has a healing ability
If passed the Maine Department of Health and Human Services would create regulations that would allow physicians to recommend its use at designated facilities for those who are 21 and older.
