Gov. Janet Mills today (Dec. 11) issued an Executive Order that strengthens enforcement of face covering requirements at all indoor public spaces.
The order requires owners and operators of all indoor spaces to not allow people inside without a mask. Those with medical exemptions will be provided accommodations but won’t be allowed inside.
Mills said law enforcement “stand ready to step in” if there is any trouble enforcing the mask requirement. She added that those who refuse to wear masks or take them off “should be removed and charged with criminal trespass.”
