A letter to parents from RSU 12 Superintendent Howard Tuttle says a positive test for coronavirus is forcing schools to go to all remote learning.

…one individual associated with Windsor Elementary School recently tested positive for COVID-19 while another individual is a probable case. After contact tracing, we have determined that there may have been limited exposure to individuals at all four schools in RSU 12. We are informing you out of an abundance of caution. Please monitor yourself/your student for signs and symptoms. Call a health care provider if symptoms start. It is important that you call a health care facility before you show up in person. Stay home if you are sick.

Due to these circumstances, and out of an abundance of caution, RSU 12 will be implementing the following for Schools in RSU 12.

All schools in RSU 12 including Windsor Elementary, Whitefield Elementary, Palermo Consolidated, and Chelsea Elementary will do remote learning starting tomorrow, October 2nd through Tuesday, October 6th. Students will return to in-person learning on Wednesday, October 7th.
