A 59-year old Florida man was seriously injured this morning, Nov. 30, in a tractor trailer crash on I-95 at mile maker 164 southbound in Etna.

On Thursday, November 30, 2023, at approximately 6:00 am, Troopers responded to a tractor trailer crash on I-95 at mile maker 164 southbound in Etna. The driver of the tractor trailer, 59-year-old Nelson Castrol of Homestead, Florida was traveling on the Interstate when his vehicle left the roadway causing the tractor trailer to overturn onto the left median. The driver was partially ejected and pinned for about 1.5 hours before fire and EMS could get him out of the vehicle. Mr. Castrol was transported to the hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries. The passing lane is shut down and is expected to be until at least noon time. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
