Lisbon Police are searching for a man who robbed the Rusty Lantern Market on Lisbon Street in Lisbon Falls yesterday, Jan. 2.

The suspect demanded that the store’s clerk give him money and then left the scene on a bicycle.

From Lisbon Police:

On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 6:30 pm, the Lisbon Police Department responded to 689 Lisbon Street, Lisbon Falls (Rusty Lantern) for a report of a Robbery that had just occurred. The store clerk said that a male subject demanded them to turn over the money and fled the store. The male subject did not produce a weapon and fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident.
The male suspect is described as being a white male, with a thin build approx 5’8”, he was wearing a Camo Jacket, a cloth over his face, dark-colored pants, and blue rubber gloves. The subject fled the scene with a light-colored bike with a distinctive brown seat.
The Androscoggin Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to assist in the search with the Lisbon Police Department.
Attached is a photo of the suspect obtained from the store’s surveillance footage. The Lisbon Police Department asks anyone who has video cameras in the Lisbon Falls area (Union Street Main Street and all streets off of Main Street that head north from the Library as well as side streets), to please review their cameras for any information related to this incident. Also if anyone knows anybody that owns a bike like this or you have seen one at a neighbor’s house, please contact us.
