Two Maine airports will be receiving funds as part of more than $240 million in a measure to modernize airports in 37 States.

$38,151 has been granted to the Knox County Regional Airport in Rockland. The money will be used to “conduct an environmental assessment of the proposed easement acquisition and obstruction removal within the Runway 31 approach surface. This project removes an airport vegetation obstruction from the Runway 13/31 approach and departure paths.

Also, $51,814 has been earmarked for Dexter Regional Airport for terminal projects in Dexter.
