Maine wardens yesterday afternoon, May 29, rescued two children, ages 3 and 2, after they got lost in the woods in Phillips.

The two siblings were playing outside with their older brother at their home on Heron Mark Lane in Phillips when the two ran down the driveway onto the road and out of sight.

K-9 Storm picked up the children’s scent and found the children huddled together in a heavily wooded remote area off Number Six Road about a half mile from their house on Heron Mark Lane.

The effort, expertise, and dedication of Warden Robertson and K9 Storm prevented a long night alone in the woods for the children, and a long night of worry for their family. Being able to bring loved ones home safe and sound is the biggest reward for doing what they do.
