Rep. Colleen Madigan, D-Waterville is sponsoring a bill that would require DHHS to create a substance use disorder hotline. The hotline would be staffed by medical professionals to offer assistance to those seeking guidance in the treatment with substance use disorder.
There were 716 overdose deaths in Maine last year, compared to 632 deaths in 2021.
