Two women are charged with stealing more than $28,000 from the register at the Wiscasset Circle K.

Here are the details from the Wiscasset Police Department:

On 11/4/20 Wiscasset PD received a report from the Wiscasset Circle K of an alleged employee theft resulting in the loss of more than $28,000.00.

The Circle K management team did an excellent job putting all the pieces together and compiling evidence of the alleged thefts that occurred between Sept. 2nd, and Oct. 29th, 2020.

On 11/5/2020 Wiscasset PD charged Abby Bragdon, 34, of Wiscasset with Class “B” Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer. Bragdon was a Circle K employee and allegedly stole $28,421.00 from the register during her scheduled work shifts. Bragdon is scheduled to appear in Wiscasset Unified court on December 17th, 2020.

On 11/10/2020 Heather-Rae Bisson, 47, of Dresden was also charged with Class “B” Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer for her role in the thefts. It is alleged that Bisson assisted Blagdon in completing these thefts by going to the Circle K during Bragdon’s shifts to collect and remove the stolen cash from the store. Bisson is also scheduled to appear in Wiscasset Unified Court on December 17th, 2020.
